Mayor, Richmond, VA
Dr. Danny Avula took office as the 81st Mayor of the City of Richmond on January 1, 2025.
Before his election to public office, Danny served the Richmond and Henrico Health Districts for 12 years, including 6 years as its Director. There, he championed efforts to increase access to care for the most vulnerable residents of our community, prioritized the voices of those with lived experience, lifted up the intersection of housing and health, and addressed the root causes that shape health outcomes-especially poverty and race.

Reuben is also accountable for the entire supplier value chain activities for third party vendors related to Brand, Global Finance, External Affairs, Treasury, and Corporate Strategy categories. Senior Vice President, Chief Procurement Officer, Capital One
Clint Grimes joined Capital One as the Chief Procurement Officer (CPO) and Head of Enterprise Supplier Management (ESM) in May of 2021. As CPO, Clint leads a team responsible for the supplier value chain which includes sourcing and supplier selection; contract negotiations; purchase order and invoice management; and delivering third party risk governance for goods and services. Partnering closely and proactively with business owners across the firm, the team seeks to maximize supplier relationships while ensuring all vendors are fully compliant with the company’s third-party management policies and procedures. He is also responsible for Capital One’s award winning Supplier Diversity program which seeks to develop and grow diverse-owned businesses.

She is responsible for sourcing suppliers for Capital One’s procurement efforts and leads one of Capital One’s inclusive supplier development programs, SAGE Advice. Allison is also the program lead for the Capital One Envision Summit, which is in its fourth year.
Allison joined Capital One in 2011 as a supplier manager. In this role, she supported a number of different categories including Tech, Digital and Bank. At her first opportunity, Allison began volunteering with the Supplier Development team in various manners and in October 2018 she joined the team permanently.
Prior to joining Capital One, Allison was in sales management for Paychex. She brought payroll and HR services to small and medium sized businesses. Allison is a proud graduate of The University of Virginia. Senior Manager, Enterprise Supplier Management, Capital One
Julie Rakes is Senior Manager, Enterprise Supplier Management at Capital One Financial Corporation. In her role, Julie is responsible for leading a team in developing and implementing strategies to drive an inclusive supply chain. She works closely with advocacy organizations and internal teams to create and implement award-winning supplier development programs, such as Catapult, Sage and Mentoring. Businesses that participate in these development programs gain skills and competencies that make them better suited to compete for business from large corporations.

Michael is responsible for JLL’s multi-billion dollar corporate procurement and client sourcing spend – working with an extensive network of local, regional and global suppliers.

Prior to taking on the CPO role he managed the global sourcing team that

He also had responsibility for the Operations team responsible for technology and data, risk and operational excellence for the Sourcing & Procurement team.
Previously he was the Chief Procurement Officer in Asia Pacific with spend
under management for Integrated Facilities Management (IFM) and Project & Development Services (PDS) in excess of USD7 billion. Leading a team of 226
procurement professionals in 14 countries.
Michael managed the Vendor Service Centre, based in Manila, that supported
JLL globally in areas such as contract management, supplier performance
management, electronic RFP creation and procurement reporting. In addition
to this, he is also a member of the JLL global procurement leadership team.
With 37 years of sourcing experience, Michael has worked with many global
multinationals. His three most recent roles were greenfield opportunities where he created and developed the procurement function. He was based in Asia for 15 years and is currently located in Chicago.
He previously led the procurement function for the largest listed property trust in the world, as well as running indirect sourcing for Australia’s premier department store. Whilst with the department store, he rolled out 7 new storesin 5 years, delivering all the “back of house” requirements in the 24 hours from handover of the construction site to the start of the delivery of stock to fill the store.
During his time at a global pharmaceutical company, he worked on the ground in 85 countries whilst creating a new sourcing business to manage their Achievements

He employed the team of 8 people and developed and managed the supply base as well as internally selling the opportunity to marketing and sales divisions around the world. This opportunity managed $70 million in spend across all divisions, delivering 80% savings in years 1 & 2. Prior to JLL he was Managing Director of the Hong Kong division of a US promotional items company that focused its work within the pharmaceutical
industry. He has a deep knowledge of the manufacturing base in China and
worked closely to create custom products that helped to sell and promote new and updated drugs in the market.
Michael holds a diploma in logistics management.

Chief Procurement Officer, Truist
Michal started on May 19, 2025. back at Truist as the new Chief Procurement Officer (CPO) under Brian Downer. He previously worked for BB&T/Truist during the merger as Head of Strategic Sourcing and Category Management and left to explore an opportunity with Wells Fargo in 2021, where he was Head of Strategic Sourcing He worked at Wells for a little over four years. At Wells Fargo, he managed a global team of Strategic Sourcing professionals supporting more than $16B in spend across all categories, contract remediation, merger, acquisition, and divestiture initiatives. He led the execution of all enterprise strategic sourcing programs and supplier initiatives in close partnership and collaboration with Business Units as well as Finance to deliver and sustain substantial enterprise expense reductions and helped Wells Fargo realize over $1.9B in run rate savings (between 2022 and 2024). This was also validated by Finance through an enhanced savings evidencing process which was implemented during the first six months of starting the role.
